Actor Rajinikanth offered special prayers at Tirupathy Sri Venkatachalapathy temple on Sunday for the success of 'Kuselan' and its Telugu version 'Kathanayukudu'.


Speaking to reporters after offering his prayers, Rajinikanth chose not to speak about the controversy involving his regret over the speech made by him during the Hogenakkal protest.


He said that he was happy with the phenomenal opening for 'Kuselan' and 'Kathanayakudu'.


Thanking his fans for the success, he said that he would commence shooting for 'Robot', which is to be directed by Shankar, from the 10th of August. The shooting would kick start in the USA.


Asked whether Aishwarya Rai would be part of the song, he said, “It is for the director to decide”.


The movie has musical score by A R Rahman. Meanwhile his full-length animated movie 'Sultan - The Warrior' is shaping up fast.

Rajinikanth's Noble Gesture And CLARIFICATION

An event was organized on the 2nd of August by superstar Rajinikanth to give financial aid to the technicians who worked in the film 'Kuselan'. The superstar also announced that he would continue this contribution for the other two movies he is working in. Soundarya Rajinikanth's animation flick 'Sultan – the warrior' and Shankar's 'Robot'.


Rajinikanth has been in the news for his comments during a protest meet over the Hognekkal issue and his subsequent 'regret speech' to the press recently.


Rajinikanth's mentor and director K. Balachander made a well prepared speech defending the superstar by saying that it was an interview to the press that highlighted the regret that Rajinikanth has and was not an apology. He also urged the film fraternity not to build walls within the industry and called upon everybody to be united.


Rajinikanth on his part said, 'if I had mentioned that we should kick those indulging in violence very clearly, all this would never have cropped up. This is a lesson I have learnt'. He also emphasized that we all make mistakes and learn from them. Director P. Vasu, Pyramid Swaminathan and P. T. Vijayakumar were also present on the occasion.








































































Super Special 'Kuselan' Show For Kids

Woodlands Theater in Chennai was brimming with scores of school children who were accorded a special show of superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kuselan’. The show was organized by GET LIFE, an organization that helps children in need. Politician Kanimozhi is associated with this organization.


The director of the film ‘Kuselan’ P. Vasu, Swaminathan of Pyramid Saimira, Aravind Krishna, cinematographer and Kanimozhi accompanied the children.


It was a day to remember for the children who were filled with ecstatic joy to be watching the first day, first show of a Rajini film.
